Co-op appoints former Tesco exec to drive membership & marketing

The Co-op has hired former Tesco executive Matt Atkinson to head up its membership and marketing functions. Set to begin at The Co-op in the coming weeks as its new chief customer officer, Atkinson will be responsible for the retailer’s membership, digital, data, brand marketing, communications, community and campaigning.
