I'm a freelance developer based out of Austin, Texas who works on a dozen or so websites.

Right now I have the opportunity to work on projects that I don't have time for, my schedule is full!  So instead of declining the projects I'm hoping to connect with a few talented developers and potentially create an ongoing relationship.  There are five projects that I could pass along and would require roughly 10 - 20 hours of your time per week.

Most of my projects utilize Kohana 2.3, but I'm shifting over to version 3.  If you have experience with CodeIgniter or any other frameworks I'm sure you'll love working with Kohana.  I haven't had any paid projects in Rails, but I know at least two of the projects are open to it.

But what i'm really looking for is someone to take on some of the overflow that I have. I do work ranging from print, flash banners, email design/coding/testing to website interfaces. You can get an idea of my work here.

The qualifications are this person should be fairly flexible, work quickly and sometimes without much direction. They need to be detail oriented, understand UI design and have a clean aesthetic. Someone that understands the capabilities of JQuery and other frameworks and working with grids is a plus. Anyways, you get the picture. I use Basecamp so being familar with that is a plus. Also using a Mac would be a plus for font/file compatibility.

An example of a project I have now is where I have the homepage and interior page designed, but need a few more pages designed with the look/feel applied.

We are looking for  a competent web developer/consultant with strong back end skills who can write good code and give good advice.

About Us:

We are a small Manufacturing company that makes Superchargers and related products. We have about 50 Employees but just 1 (me) working on websites.

We have five brands/sites, two of which we are focusing on:

• vortechsuperchargers.com - this is our largest site. You might notice some sloppy markup if you view source; it will be fixed.
• paxtonauto.com - this is another Supercharger brand, very similar to Vortech.

I am in the process of developing a shared framework to support both sites and need some help. I want to clean up some of the existing code and db structure from both sites to use in the framework and also add some new features, mostly having to do with user editing.

I am mainly a front end developer (HTML/CSS/Javascript) but I have been doing a lot of back end work on these sites. I would like to get some help from someone who has better back end skills than I do. If you also have front end skills then that would be great, too.

We run a dedicated LAMP server and the sites are written in PHP/MySQL, mostly custom written. I would be open to frameworks...

About You:

We need someone with the following skills:

• Application Design and Development (PHP/MySQL) - Please be able to help design an application based on a list of required features  (as opposed to simply code-monkeying to a hard spec).  In general, I am interested in code that is secure, runs fast and can be modified easily. Whatever methods you use are okay as long as the application works and it meets these requirements.
• Database Design (hopefully this was implied in the above item.
• Server Administration - It would be nice to have somebody who knows how to configure/install/upgrade LAMP software.
• Front end - You will probably be doing at least a little bit of front end work for us so please be able to write clean HTML and  some Javascript. CSS/visual design skills are not necessary but let me know if you have them.

Our preference would be to find somebody who is able to meet in person at our office in Oxnard, CA at least once, but we are open to anybody.

Budget/Timeline

I will need your input to come up with a budget. First, I would like to send you the source code that I'm working on so you can look through it and tell me what you think (good, bad, ugly), then we can talk more about what needs to be done with it and what features we are going to be adding. Once you have a better idea of what we need then you can give me a cost estimate.

This job is fairly straightforward: I have a bunch of files that used to be 3 different ASP -based sites linked up with an Access databases. I would like to start these sites back up again. Job is just to get the files onto a host that still supports ASP, re-connect the data links so that the dynamic stuff works again, and hand over the connect details for the re-started site.

Sites are +-50 pages each, but no need to edit each page I would hope. Maybe just a couple find-replaces to get the data links working and a quick check to make sure you're not getting errors.

You will need to sign a non-discolsure agreement.

Yes, I know that ASP is way out of date and that Access databases are not good. This is for nostalgic purposes!

We  manage websites for a very few clients. We are looking for someone to do HTML and CSS work for these sites, which will entail taking a finished PSD file and creating a web page that matches the art. 

We're not looking for simple slice and save type work, we're looking for great markup and clean, efficient CSS. If you've recently spent an hour trying to get rid of a container div you knew you didn't need, then you're the type we're looking for. 

We hate IE 6, but our visitors don't, so we require all pages to render correctly in IE6/7/8, Firefox 3.x and Safari 3+. We do not require W3C validation, but good clean code should never be that far off. 

We do a fair bit of Ajax, so if you know any JS that's a plus, but we've got people for that. 

Currently we have about 20 -30 hours a week but the position could easily graduate to a full-time gig if we like what we see.
