B&M is being sued by Australian singer Kylie Minogue after branding various items in its homeware range with the name “Kylie”. The discount retailer has been forced to defend its decision after the furnishings designer Ashley Wilde, who designs and makes “Kylie Minogue at Home”, issued a legal challenge alongside the pop star accusing it of deliberate imitation. Though B&M has since renamed the bed linen products “Camilla”, it is refusing to pay damages of £10,000 for the case to be dropped
Luxury online fashion retailer Yoox Net-A-Porter (YNAP) has edged closer to being absorbed by Richemont after its board of directors gives the green light.
Furniture and interior design retailer Made has hired Adrian Evans as its new chief financial officer while announcing it has commitments for £40 million of equity funding. Evans joins from the Yoox Net-A-Porter (YNAP) Group where he worked for over 10 years in various senior management roles including commercial director, finance director and strategy director.
