  1. The Narotam Sekhsaria Scholarships,for Higher Studies - 2008-09
  2. The Narotam Sekhsaria Foundation has been set up by an endowment from Mr. Sekhsaria and his family and supports projects primarily in the areas of health and education. The Foundation aims to recognize and promote excellence. To achieve this objective, the Foundation has set up the Narotam Sekhsaria Scholarship Programme to evolve a group of young professionals and leaders of high caliber imbued with values of enterpreneurship and ethics. They shall be committed to achieving the professed goals of excellence.

    Students wishing to avail of this Scholarship may acquire the application by downloading the form here. The application forms complete in all respects must reach the Foundation office by February 28, 2008. An application fee of Rs.300/- will have to be paid and should accompany the duly filled forms. The application fees will be accepted by way of cash / demand draft / M.O drawn in favour of the Narotam Sekhsaria Foundation. No Cheques will be accepted. The Foundation will take no responsibility for postal or other delays.

    1. Age limit: 30 years as on 31st Jan 2008.
    2. Students with a consistently good academic background and having achieved distinction as all-rounders and having shown excellence in other co-curricular activities are encouraged to apply.

    Students who are desirous of pursuing post graduate studies in prestigious institutes in India and abroad are eligible to apply. Students should have already applied for admission to the University/ Institution of their choice. Students awaiting admission can also apply.

    4. Students who are in the final year of graduation and or are awaiting their results are also eligible to apply.
    5. Scholarship will be open to students of Indian nationality residing in India.
    6. In case of overseas study, only those students seeking admission during Fall semester (June-October) or equivale

  3. Malcolm and Elizabeth Adiseshiah Ph D Merit Scholarship

  4. Malcolm and Elizabeth Adiseshiah Ph.D. Merit Scholarship,  was created to provide training and facilities for talented  researchers to pursue high-quality academic research  dedicated to development issues in Tamil Nadu.

    Area of Research: The scholar is to be chosen from any social  science discipline, on the basis of demonstrated academic  competence and interest in the field of political, economic  or social development in Tamil Nadu.

    Eligibility:  (1) M.Phil degree in social sciences (relaxable  only in exceptional cases); (2) The successful candidate will  have to be registered under the supervision of one of the  faculty members of the Institute.

    Duration:  The fellowship will be available for a maximum  period of 3 years.  The selected scholar will be taken as an  intern for the first year of the programme and the renewal of  the scholarship will be subject to satisfactory performance  in research in the six-monthly assessment of the Institute

    Value of Fellowship: To the successful candidate the  Institute will offer a monthly scholarship of Rs.6000 and a Contingency Grant of Rs.12,000 per annum.
