Fashion retailer Boden has recorded an uptick in profits and sales, driven by strong womenswear sales and an increase in customers. The company, which was founded as a catalogue retailer before expanding to bricks-and-mortar and online retail, said its pre-tax profit for the year ending December 31 went up by 9.6 per cent to £26.2 million. Sales also went up by nine per cent to £308 million, thanks to double digit growth in womenswear and 10 per cent growth in customer numbers
