Online sales drives Dunelm’s Christmas quarter

Dunelm has reported like-for-like sales growth in its second quarter, which included the Christmas trading period, driven by a surge in online revenues despite margin pressures. In a trading update for the 13 weeks to December 30, the furniture retailer said total second quarter like-for-like sales increased 3.4 per cent to £255 million, boosted by a 30.5 per cent jump in online sales to £26.2 million.
